Riding

The horses have been back in a back pasture for a while but Monday we brought them back to the house so Gunnar and I decided to take advantage them being back and get in as much riding as we can while we're still here.  Kit's never really been on a ride so we weren't sure how he'd like it.  He LOVED it!! He was so excited the whole time! 

Gunnar and I took a little ride alone in the field right by our house while the boys were napping.  It was fun to get even a few minutes of doing something together besides work!

It was kinda late by the time Monte woke up from his nap and we got going, so we just rode to the gate and back because I needed to head into town that evening.  It was a perfect little ride to get the boys back into it! 

My Papa helped Gunnar get me hooked up with my own saddle that is AWESOME!  It is so comfortable!  And Gunnar had gotten a new bridle and bit for Christmas from my Dad and Papa so we were excited to get some riding time in our new equipment!

Kit sang and laughed and mimicked the horse sounds the whole time!  He had such a great time!

Back at the barn and a good time was had by all!
