Cousins

Sara had meetings Tuesday and wanted me to keep Jax for her.  I really wanted to, one, to help her out, but two, to practice how life works with two under two.  The problem was that for a while Jax refused a bottle but she thought she had found one that he would finally take so we decided to give it a try... If he wouldn't eat from me we were going to have a problem!

I did realize one thing, I want/need a bigger vehicle!  haha

I decided to do a grocery run with them both, figuring that they'd keep each other happy and distracted... Honestly they were both so into the store and surroundings that they didn't even really seem to notice that each other was there.  Except once when Monte tried to feed Jax his lara bar!

Mr. monkey toes!

One was happy and one was starting to be done!

The drive to Sara's was a little dicey but we made it, construction and all!  I think they both would set each other off so neither one of them calmed down long enough to fall asleep. The second I got them both out they were instantly happy as could be!

I had sent a couple pictures to our family GroupMe so Mom knew I had them there and couldn't resist stopping by on her lunch break to see both of her grandsons in one place.  She was "teaching" Jax how to clap and he thought it was hilarious! We both tried the bottle on him several times and he was simply not interested!

But happy as could be!  I think he was just too distracted by Monte to think being hungry was of any importance.

I realized that I have no pictures with Jax so I decided to snap a few!  Sweet boy!

Monte decided he wanted to be part of the party and let me tell ya, taking a pic of a 17 month old and a 5 month old is no easy task!!

We managed to snag a cute one though, head eating included!

Sara was on her way home when Jax suddenly got really fussy and sucked his bottle right down!   I guess he finally got hungry enough to think eating was more important than hanging out with Monte!  The minute he started eating, he could no longer keep his eyes open and soon conked out!  I just rocked him til he woke up.  It was kinda funny with him laid over my big belly!

Life...

Just some pictures of life these days...

I got sick a couple weekends ago and Gunnar had to take over.  He introduced Monte to trough swimming!

We're pretty good at sticking to a routine most days so when we're a little late with lunch Monte starts to slip into nap time in his high chair...Haha

Uncle J got to open his bank form our grandparents for his birthday the other day and Monte was very interested in "helping" count!

Dad cut a hole in a tupperware and made him a bank to put coins into.  He would grunt with satisfaction every time he on into the hole.

Because I've been having several meetings lately Monte has gotten plenty of practice staying with grandparents.  Feels nice knowing that he's happy and content at all their houses for when we will have to leave him to have another baby.

Cousins!!

There was a fire near our house the other night.  It was probably about 6 miles from our house and got within about half a mile of several of our cattle pastures.  It was one of the craziest lightning storms I've ever seen but it never rained so with all the dried grass and brush it took off like a rocket!  Fortunately it was never headed in the direction of our house but I was ready to grab Monte and haul butt if I needed to!

Gunnar went and was with several of the other ranchers around ready to open gates or fight fire if it came to that.  Fortunately it never came to that either!  We had a bunch of people praying and the wind dies down completely allowing the fire department to get it put out.  Yay God!

Monte's new morning routine is to walk with me to let out the chickens, spread the cat food everywhere, then beeline for the trough!

Also who sleeps like this!?!

Just a boy and his bucket!  Monte LOVES going to Aunt Penny's.  She told me he carries this bucket around the whole time he's there.  He also loves shutting himself into her dog's dog cage!

He's just really had a bummer time at his grandparents houses recently  ;)

36 Weeks

Gender - Boy #2!!!
Name -We HAVE ONE!!! YAY!

Weight Gain - 35 pounds! Whoo!

Cravings - none to speak of...

  36 weeks and 1 day

These are always fun! ~ 35 Weeks and 1 day

- This popped up on one of my apps the other day and WHOA!! That's close!  I'm so ready and so not! haha I think that's how it always goes.  I did have a weekend intensive at our church this weekend that I helped lead and teach and that was the last "big" thing to check off before he can arrive so from now on it's "Come whenever you're ready little munchkin!"

Movement -  He still seems calmer than Monte but he moves a lot!  One major difference is that Monte had the hiccups maybe one or two times... This guy, nightly!  It feels like I'm having muscle spasms!  So weird!

Symptoms - Can't move without grunting - Calf cramps increasing - some minor swelling - am getting more emotional more easily - seriously get soooo hot! - All in all I feel pretty great!

I should take a belly picture today.... or soon!!
