Kit - 2 Months

Yesterday my little munchkin turned two months old.

- Weight
- 0-3 month clothes, some 3 month stuff is a little big but we work with it.

- Smiling all the time now
- Coos and interacts with you when you talk to him.

- Usually does a 5 hour stretch at night then 3 hour stretches after that but has slept 7-8 hours several times too!
- Already loves being outside

- Loves baths!
- Holding his head up pretty well.  Still takes random nose dives every once in a while

-  Sleeps swaddled and in the rock-n-play.  I'm kinda just playing things by ear because Monte wanted to be swaddled for like a week!  At night he gets fussy until you swaddle him and lay him in his bed then he's happy and slowly drifts off to sleep.  Usually does not want to be held just wants to be laid down.

- Nursing like a champ!
- Is SUPER happy in the mornings when he wakes up!

- Will not take a pacifier although I think if he did it would help sometimes.  Seems to have a super super sensitive gag reflex.
- Naps with his arms in funny positions often, just like his daddy!

- Not a spitupper!  (Is that a word?!)
- Is pretty calm most of the time.  Doesn't ever really get super mad or super excited.

- Tries to watch Monte now and definitely smiles at him!
- Whatcha lookin' at?!

- Can see his toys on his mat and swing now.  I don't think he grabbed this one on purpose but he is seeing and reacting to them now.

- Hates tummy time!
- Tried a bottle, was not a fan.  We need to work on that.

- Is well loved!

- Has the cutest dimple in his right cheek! (I so wished the camera had focused on him and not the toy thing but it's still a cute picture!)

Walking

We went for a fun family walk the other evening... We try to do this as often as possible but this time Monte was just so adorable in his reindeer hat and 90's jazzercise socks that it was the perfect evening for videoing the memories!  After all the rain and drizzle we all needed to get out in some sunshine!

"Moon! Moon! Moon!" (We've figured out that he likes to repeat words a lot when he talks... "juice. juice juice.  cheese. cheese. cheese etc!)
Yes it was cold! Yes we let him walk through EVERY puddle! Yes he had fun! Yes we thawed out with a warm bath after we got home!

All bundled up and ready to ride!

Love these two!

I love this picture!  I think because I so badly needed the sunshine and because it catches Monte in a candid moment...

Gunnar and I usually takes turns pushing Kit and playing and/or carrying Monte.  It's about a mile to the gate and back and he usually walks most of the way!  It's probably only 3/4 of a mile or a little more maybe but still I was pretty impressed the first time I let him walk and he made it almost the whole way!

He has figured out how to hop on for a ride now and then!   He would hop on for about 15 seconds then be off for the puddles again!

Right after that he fell and got mud all over his hand!  After wiping it on Daddy's jeans he was all better and on his way again!

Get outside people!  It'll do you and your kiddos some good!

Videos

Gunnar and I decorated the tree last night after Monte had gone to bed so I made sure to video his reaction this morning when he woke up and saw the tree for the first time.  It did not disappoint!

Waking up is such hard work! Stretching babies are the best!

Kit was in a particularly good mood this morning!

Kit telling Daddy all about it!

So Kit woke up right after this but it was nice while it lasted! And actually he just ate and went right back down, he's still out actually!

Christoval Christmas Tree Farm

We decided to go the Christoval Christmas Tree Farm yesterday since Gunnar was off.  Plus CHRISTMAS! We decided to turn Monte around to front facing for the trip so we could actually hang out with him. He liked playing mirror peek-a-boo and actually could be fed supper on the way home!

"Counting"

Kristi gave Kit this ADORABLE moose jacket that he finally got to wear!  I mean a cozy little moose baby, what could be better?!

Oh and we just had to try out our new Christmas clothes from Annie even though they are still too big.  Monte loved pointing to it and saying "dehh" (deer).

Monte had fun riding in the wagon, finding pine cones, and just exploring!  It's fun that he's getting old enough to actually enjoy outings.  He has no clue what a Christmas tree is but he sure liked looking for one ;)

Kit had fun too!

He had fun, I promise!

Sullenger Family Selfie!  It's harder than it looks!

After looking through all the trees, we decided on one I had originally suggested as a joke...

This one! It's giant! and Ugly!! But, I had a plan!

Monte was fascinated with the cutting down process!

So the plan is to cut the top part off and have a mini tree for the office window and then have a normal sized tree for the living room.  And as a plus it was super on sale because it was huge and ugly!  Win win!  When we got it home, it worked perfectly!

Monte found pine cones and would not let them go!  He even tripped and face planted and didn't let them go to try to catch himself!

l

We love Christmas and all the opportunities it creates to make family memories and traditions!  Some of my fondest childhood memories were Christmas related and I want to create memories for my children as well, plus I just love Christmas.

Kit - Newborns

I just realized that I never posted Kit's newborn photos.  They turned out SOO good!! Now I just have to decide which ones to print!  Penny did such a good job!

My dad found this chair somewhere, fixed it, and repainted it for me and I love it!! I sit in it all the time on the front porch!  I'm so glad we decided to take pictures in it because I really do spend a lot of time in it!  Great place to watch Monte, or watch Gunnar practice with his bow, and rock Kit.

We love our newest boy!!
