Trailer Fun

After being cooped up all day last week with the rain, the boys and me HAD to get outside.  My boys, well probably all kids, just handle life so much better when they have time to be outside! Kit has hit that oh so awesome not so awesome age of being old enough to travel but too young to understand boundaries like "Don't go past the sidewalk, don't go in the back yard, etc" So he keeps me on my toes to say the least!  It's not so bad when it's been cold but it's still too warm most of the time to not have to be diligent about snakes!  We do have a couple great snake dogs now so that has been great!

Isn't he just the cutest!  Gunnar had put him in these striped Christmas pajamas and I just left them on him the next morning because it was cold and they were so warm and adorable!

The boys LOVE the trailers and that's been what Kit beelines for the minute he's outside lately.  They're surrounded by goat heads so making it barefoot isn't an option even with my boys' leather feet!  Plus we've killed rattlesnakes around them so when it's warm, we don't want them over there by themselves. So this week we've started working on Kit "coming here" when told and having to learn what "no" means as far as where he is allowed to go.

They were just having so much fun!  I decided to actually get my good camera out and not just take phone pictures!  I have to remind myself to do that sometimes...

ahhhh what a cutie!

My sweet Kit bo!!

Monte LOVES climbing so a trailer is like a personal jungle gym!

They are both fascinated with all the gates and Monte always wants help opening and closing the main gates.

Monte fell off twice and yet wanted to keep climbing!  We're definitely the "rub some dirt on it" type family but I was still kinda proud of him and how a few falls didn't squelch his determination!

So the to sum up....
1. Get outside!
2. My boys are the cutest!
3. I like trailers a lot!  I think it's because I grew up playing all over them too!  I always remember my dad having trailers, especially this one orange stock trailer that we climbed and climbed and climbed all over!  I remember it being HUGE but I'm sure if I saw it today it would just look like any other stock trailer.  Somehow my boys loving to play and climb on our trailers brings me some kind of nostalgia induced joy...
4. Let your kids fall and have to learn to pick themselves back up and try again!  (Within reason of course, don't be stupid ;)
5. Enjoy your kids!
