We've been saying that we're going to transition Monte to a bed soon for a while now so that when Kit outgrows the co-sleeper (that I guess is just a bassinet because it's not next to my bed or even in the same room!) Monte will be used to a bed. I am not usually one to plan ahead much and just randomly decided to bite the bullet on go for it this morning! Which just meant switching out the crib rail for a bed rail...

He thought it was all fun and exciting!
He immediately filled his bed with books! And jumped a lot!
I've been trying to teach him Gig Em for a long time and he wasn't slightly interested. Today I asked him how he liked his bed and said "Is it good?" while holding a thumbs up. He suddenly tried to do it and it was adorable! So obviously I had to immediately teach him "Gig Em"
'
He cracks himself up sometimes! He was proud of himself when he figured it out!
Kit was napping for most of the morning but when he woke up Monte immediately wanted him in his bed. They're relationship is already all their own and I love it!
Monte, of course, had to introduce his most beloved toy, currently, his iron, to his new bed!
He irons all things these days! The walls, the floor, the grass, his bed... you know!
He also had to break in his new bed to help make it feel at home....aka dirty and sticky!
I only had to put him back in his bed once at nap time and this evening we never had to put him back into bed although it did take him an hour to go to sleep but I blame the time change and not the new bed for that!
Sweet boy!

Next up.... Potty Training! Wish us luck!
