A "Little" Demolition

So Sara and Wyatt bought a house, an awesome house with some land!  So excited for them BUT the previous owner was a smoker which meant that a lot of work needed to happen before they could live in the house, ripping out carpet, scraping popcorn ceilings, re texturing, pounding out tile, painting, cleaning, and etc! So we all jumped in to help!

It's SUCH a great place for kids!  Lots of shade so even on hot days they could just play and play outside!

I got me a good workout in several days sledge hammering, rock barring, and shoveling tile!

Uncle J taking a book break!

Their main room has a 20 ft. vaulted ceiling with is awesome but not so awesome to scrape, repair, texture, and paint!

Pickup knows how to do all the cool stuff!!

They borrowed a firend's scissor lift for the job!

Kit and Jaxson seemed rather unimpressed but Monte's roller coaster of emotion was hilarious!  His face shows it all from anticipation, to almost terror, to absolute delight!

The boys got SO FILTHY!  They played in the sprinkler, then played in the dirt so they were just caked in mud!

So we threw them in the swimming pool!

Looking for spots they missed!

One day I was there, I spent the entire time looking up at the ceiling, sanding, floating, and preparing the ceilings to be sprayed with texture.

We're super excited for them and are ready see the finished product!  I think they're ready to start painting and then after some THOROUGH cleaning, it should be livable!! Whoop whoop!!
