Monte's Party

So I am way behind in blogging but I want to remember these days so I'm blogging about them anyway.  Monte's birthday happened to fall on a Saturday AND on Gunnar's off days, what are the odds?!, so we decided to have a party so to speak.  Reb was home for Easter so we got to see him too.  It was Easter weekend so all of our friends were out of town, seriously haha, so the Beavers ended up being the only family who came besides our family.  We currently have baby kittens, baby chicks, and a baby bobcat so their kids were in heaven!  We also saddled a horse and let Monte and the Beaver kids take rides.  They were so sweet and listened so well to all the "horse rules."

Monte blew out the candles then got upset when everyone clapped and cheered.  He ran to my mom and wanted her to hold him.  We let him do it again and cheered quietly that time,  Monte seemed to get it that time and realized "Oh this is for me!" and flashed that grin of his!

Sam and Monte are kinda figuring out how to play "together." They're pretty much the cutest things ever!

"Hey, whatcha see down there?!"

Monte LOVES sweeping!  Every time he goes to Sid and Ann's he beelines for their fire tools and wants to sweep with the broom.  Ann found a kid's broom set for him for his birthday and it was the best gift ever!  He wanted to sweep Spot when we went to go ride!

It had been soooo windy that morning and I was kinda bummed because the party was planned for outside, fortunately the wind calmed down enough to be able to enjoy being outside!
