Rodeo

Gunnar and I went on our first date in we can't remember how long Friday night.  We had a gift card to the Grill and rodeo tickets! (and didn't take ONE picture) The only available babysitter was Uncle Reb.  Now I have no qualms with letting Reb watch Monte but, Reb was going to have him at bedtime.  Gunnar's only put him to bed without me once so I wasn't sure how that part was going to go... Apparently it went off without a hitch and Monte and Uncle had a great time and Monte went down smoothly! He did say that when he first laid him down, Monte sat up and just stared at him and Reb thought, "Well dang it! Now what do I do?" But he said he just picked him up and held him on the couch for a few minutes and he went right to sleep and stayed asleep the second time he laid him down.

Sunday someone gave Penny two tickets so she asked me to go with her! Uh Duh I want to go!  It scared Monte at first but we were a little late and a saddle bronc ride was already going on when we walked in so it was LOUD, people cheering, loud music! I think if we had gotten there early and it had gradually gotten louder he would have been fine.  My little tenderhearted guy!

He quickly got over it and seemed to really enjoy watching!   We did figure out that the buzzer scared him so on the bucking events I would hold his ears and he was fine!

He really liked watching the barrel racing and the bull riding! I think he could actually track the horses on the barrel racing so he liked that and the bull riding was right in front of us so he could easily see that too!
