Perspective

The last week has been kinda rough.  Monte was circumcised Wednesday, has had a runny nose for a few days, making napping almost non existent, I've had signs of mastitis and fever, our AC went out Saturday, and we had to miss a weekend family trip with my family! Not so fun!! But I'm reminded today of all the good things that we have in our lives as well.

I have a husband who will take the time to stop driving to hold and comfort his son.

I had the opportunity to love my son while driving home.  He finally fell asleep for three hours and handled the trip home like a champ!

We got a new pet, a baby kitty.  She has helped keep Monte happy and entertained.

She may be regretting coming to live with us as Monte is pretty grabby but she keeps coming near him so I don't feel too sorry for her.

I've enjoyed the extra cuddle time lately.  I won't always have a baby to cuddle so even though he and I aren't feeling great, I have decided to enjoy his clingingness lately.

We are blessed to have family close by so we can bum their cold air while our ac is being replaced.  Instead of sweating through the nights, we've been able to come stay at my in-laws in enjoy a cool bed with some extra family time.  Also, my mom kept Monte last night while we went to FPU.  He apparently was her sous chef!

So instead of being frustrated that I've had no sleep, have a fussy baby, and a hot house, I'm choosing to be grateful that I have a son I love, a family that helps us out, and a Dad who is a contractor and has connections who can do our AC for a GREAT deal!
