So "adventure" is probably an exaggeration but to Monte it was and it was good for us all to get out of the house! Wednesday morning we woke up to about 1/4 inch of ice covering everything. The boys were about to drive me crazy so we all bundled up and headed outside for an ice walk before lunch and naps. I was a little nervous about Kit being warm enough but between blankets, hats, and layered Norwegian hand me downs I think he was comfy cozy!

I was worried that he would fight the blankets and try to get his hands out but he didn't, just relaxed, peaked out over the blankets, and took it all in.
Monte was all about getting outside and eagerly let me bundle him all up! Thankfully we have this thick heavy Carhartt coat!! I think it was a hand me down from the Koonces! Thanks guys! Also, isn't he cute?!
Taking a selfie in 20 degree weather, with a toddler, baby, and stroller is kinda tricky but we did it!
Barely got Kit in this one!
All mittened up and ready to explore!
Discovering the ice! All he wanted to do was eat it all!
Peaking out...
Iced barbed wire!
Prickly Pear! Monte wanted to eat this too but I nixed that idea!
We shook the wire and shot ice everywhere and Monte thought it was hilarious!
Turkey cactus!
I found all these little ice droplets pretty cool looking!
I fought him for a few minutes then just gave up. It was early for nap but he just looked so cozy I just let him fall asleep!
We weren't out for very long before Monte and I were cold and ready to go inside. Monte wanted to ride on the way back but I was in the regular stroller so he had to figure out a way to make it work!
Kit was out cold by the time we got back and I had to unblanket him, take off his hat and jacket, and take off his outer layer of clothing all without waking him up....
Success!!!
