Life...

Just some pictures of life these days...

I got sick a couple weekends ago and Gunnar had to take over.  He introduced Monte to trough swimming!

We're pretty good at sticking to a routine most days so when we're a little late with lunch Monte starts to slip into nap time in his high chair...Haha

Uncle J got to open his bank form our grandparents for his birthday the other day and Monte was very interested in "helping" count!

Dad cut a hole in a tupperware and made him a bank to put coins into.  He would grunt with satisfaction every time he on into the hole.

Because I've been having several meetings lately Monte has gotten plenty of practice staying with grandparents.  Feels nice knowing that he's happy and content at all their houses for when we will have to leave him to have another baby.

Cousins!!

There was a fire near our house the other night.  It was probably about 6 miles from our house and got within about half a mile of several of our cattle pastures.  It was one of the craziest lightning storms I've ever seen but it never rained so with all the dried grass and brush it took off like a rocket!  Fortunately it was never headed in the direction of our house but I was ready to grab Monte and haul butt if I needed to!

Gunnar went and was with several of the other ranchers around ready to open gates or fight fire if it came to that.  Fortunately it never came to that either!  We had a bunch of people praying and the wind dies down completely allowing the fire department to get it put out.  Yay God!

Monte's new morning routine is to walk with me to let out the chickens, spread the cat food everywhere, then beeline for the trough!

Also who sleeps like this!?!

Just a boy and his bucket!  Monte LOVES going to Aunt Penny's.  She told me he carries this bucket around the whole time he's there.  He also loves shutting himself into her dog's dog cage!

He's just really had a bummer time at his grandparents houses recently  ;)
