A problem...

This is a goat trap. Gunnar needs one.

The goats push in the closer side and then can't get back through the other side.

The problem is that this goat trap belongs to a guy from his church.

This is raw materiel and tools.
This is my boyfriend welding.

And this is the beginnings of his own goat trap.I always loved that about my dad. If he needed something he could probably just go outside and find some scrap materiel and build it. It seemed to me like he could do anything! I loved watching him work and make stuff. You could always ask questions and he was never too busy or rushed to stop and explain something to you and if you were interested and asked he'd always teach you how to do what he was doing. He also always could answer more questions than I knew to ask. If I asked one question instead of just giving a short answer, he'd always go farther and explain how something worked or why it worked that was or the history of something or whatever.

So when I drove into the Sullengers place the other day and knew that Gunnar needed a goat trap and saw him out welding, it made me really glad that Gunnar shares that quality with Dad. He just up and welded himself a goat trap out of scrap metal around their place. How cool is that?!

This was my contribution. hahaI stood on it so it wouldn't tip over while he was measuring. And I took pictures and was generally very impressed and attentive :)

This is Chippeway supervising.
She pretty much runs the place :)
